I recently had the chance to visit Mint Express Sandton View, and I've got mixed feelings about the place. Trying to balance luxury with value can be tricky, and this hotel is a classic example. While the staff were exceptionally friendly and the check-in process was smooth, the overall experience felt reminiscent of a 70s US motel. It's not the ideal spot for Uber travel, and if you're looking for a quiet place to work remotely, look elsewhere. The apartments are tidy and equipped with a smart TV - perfect to unwind with your favorite series after a long day. They also offer decent laundry services, which can be a blessing for travelers. Unfortunately, my stay was cut short due to a safety issue with worn-out bed springs that caused my partner an injury, leaving us with no option but to check out early. The on-duty manager didn't provide a helpful response, which adds to the disappointment.
